Mahindra Thar Roxx launched in India
Mahindra & Mahindra has officially unveiled the much-awaited Thar Roxx in India, marking the debut of the brand's five-door SUV variant. The starting price for the base petrol model is Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the diesel version begins at Rs 13.99 lakh.
The Thar Roxx offers two engine choices designed to cater to a range of driving needs. The petrol variant is equipped with a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine, delivering 160bhp and 330Nm of torque. For those who prefer diesel, the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine provides 150bhp and 330Nm of torque. Both engine options come with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, allowing drivers to choose their preferred driving experience.
The Thar Roxx maintains the classic boxy silhouette that has become synonymous with the Thar brand, but with a modern twist. The SUV features a redesigned grille with six double-stacked slots, complemented by LED projector headlamps and C-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Dual-tone alloy wheels and pronounced wheel arches enhance its rugged appeal, while the rear design is completed with C-shaped LED taillights and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, highlighting its off-road capabilities.
Inside, the Thar Roxx offers a premium experience with a dashboard featuring soft-touch materials and seats upholstered in dual-tone leatherette. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is at the center of the cabin's technology suite. Other notable features include a fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and rear AC vents, ensuring a comfortable ride for all passengers.
